La Jolla Beach

La Jolla Beach is a great place to spend a few hours with your family or with your sweetheart, in the San Diego Area.

It was the first day after 5 days of rain in San Diego for us (which is VERY rare) so we were looking to get out a bit, have some lunch and take a walk near the beach.

We decided to have lunch at the Aroma Cafe on Prospect Street then take a walk or drive down to the beach.

We couldn't find any parking near the Children's Pool (a protected part of the beach), as we wanted to see the Harbor Seals. Instead we drove a little further south, parked and hung out at the beach for a little while. We had a blast taking photos and playing with the local dogs on the beach.
