Orlando, Florida has every type of restaurant you could ever want. You can dine in some of the best restaurants, or find any fast food you want. There are romantic restaurants and family restaurants. Some of the best chefs in the world and some or the best food you will ever find.

Sweet Tomatoes is one of our favorite restaurants in Florida and there are 3 locations in Orlando. It is a salad bar buffet and is a great place for lunch or dinner. It is reasonably priced and a great place for families.

 

You will find a variety of salad bar options, soups, pastas and breads. There are so many healthy options for vegetarians or non vegetarians.

 

We much prefer this restaurant for a healthy and fast meal and make sure we go there every time we go to Florida.

One night on a recent trip in Orlando, Warren got a craving for Greek Food. We were staying on International Drive and decided to look for a Greek Restaurant.

 

We ended up at Pointe Orlando, a new shopping, dining and entertainment center on International Drive. We saw the word OPA in the title and we were sold on Taverna Opa.

 

This was without a doubt one of the best meals we had on our trip to Florida. Not only was the food amazing, we actually felt like we were in Greece. The staff were amazing and the entertainment was great.

 

We waited in the bar area for about 15 minutes and the bartender made us FRESH hummus while we waited. She took the chickpeas, oil, garlic etc. and mashed it up in front of us. It was delicious! Next we sat at our table and felt like we were in someone's kitchen. Everyone looked like they were having a great time. Instead of traditionally throwing plates like they do in Greece to celebrate - the staff would throw a pile of napkins in the air!

 

Next the excellent belly dancer started to entertain the guests and I got into it by tipping her a dollar! It was a lot of FUN! Then to top it off, after the meal, the staff would encourage you to dance on the tables!!!

 

The food was amazing and the evening was awesome! We highly recommend Taverna Opa!

Wolfgang Puck is one of my favorite chefs. The food in his restaurants is always flavorful, plentiful and great. I try to go to his restaurants whenever I travel as we don't have any in Canada.

 

Wolfgang Puck's Cafe is located in Downtown Disney at the Westside. The food is - as it always is at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant - excellent. On our last trip to Orlando Warren suggested that we stop at Downtown Disney for lunch on our drive from Tampa.

 

Our food was excellent and the service was great. Warren and Montana shared a burger and pizza and loved it. I had a steak Caesar salad pita and couldn't eat it all - it was awesome!

 

It is a great place for kids (it is on the Disney property after all). It is also a restaurant that you can visit if you are on a Disney dining package.
