YMCA Hong Kong
I can't tell you how many times I have asked people where they would recommend to stay in Hong Kong on a budget and people suggest the YMCA in Kowloon. Before writing this I put the question out to the Twitterverse, and the response I got back was the YMCA!

This is a clean, a budget friendly option, and the best part is the location. The YMCA is right next to the Peninsula Hotel, but is only 1/3 of the price. You get the same views and the location is spectacular. It is located right across the street from the Victoria Harbour, and is a few minutes walk to the Star Ferry and the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station.
Many of the reviewers on TripAdvisor say things like "Excellent Location" or a "Gem in Hong Kong" or "Best View and awesome accommodations & The Price is Right!"

You can watch A Symphony of Lights Show over Victoria Harbour from your room (if you have a Harbour view) or take a bottle of wine up to the rooftop and watch from there.

YMCA Hong Kong - Rooms
With 363 guest rooms, you will find a size and price that fits your budget. You will find that each room is air conditioned, has a refrigerator, and wireless internet access.
Make sure if you want a room with a queen size bed that you request it when booking, otherwise you may end up with 2 single beds.
Request a corner room (suite) as it has the best views, and pay extra for the Harbour view or ask for a high floor and/or upgrade when you arrive.
If you are traveling as a family, choose the family suite. You will find a spacious living area, and 2 sofas (one is a sofa bed). The separate bedroom has it's own TV and floor to ceiling windows.

With many restaurants in the area you may not need to eat on property, however if you would like to the Salisbury Dining Room has many international options and snacks.
The YMCA Hong Kong is a great idea for families or budget minded couples when visiting the city.
