Some of our favorite romantic things to do in Paris are:

Sit in the park under the Eiffel Tower on a sunny afternoon
Wander down the Champs Elysees and window shop
Climb the Arc De Triomphe at night or at sunset
Dine or have coffee in a sidewalk cafes, choose a neighborhood and enjoy (we liked St. Germain des Pres and Place Marche St Honore)
Wander around Le Louvre while it rains outside
Skip the cab and walk, choose a neighborhood and wander through it, choose the Latin Quarter, Place Furstemberg, Montmartre Hill, or along the Seine.
Have a picnic in a park
Take an evening stroll around the Louvre and the Tuileries Garden
Have dinner in the Eiffel Tower (preferably at sunset (I am a sucker for sunsets)
Organize a "Say I Love Your Tour"
Wine and dine your love at some of the best restaurants in the world
Find one of the many Jazz clubs, snuggle in with a bottle of wine and enjoy the music
Take a fun tour together - our favorite is the Segway Tour
Search out and shop in the first Louis Vuitton store (If that is your thing)
Sleep in and order room service in a one of the many luxury hotels in Paris France
Enjoy the Opera, a Cabaret Show (like the Moulin Rouge) or the theater
Take a boat tour along the Seine

Have a Romantic Picnic and Enjoy a Park

Picnicking in Paris is not only inexpensive, it is tradition while visiting Paris.

First step is to choose a park to picnic in:

Jardin du Luxembourg, next to Luxembourg Castle
Champs de Mars, in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower (for more facts about the Eiffel Tower click here) on a sunny afternoon
Jarden des Tuileries, near Le Louvre
Buttes-Chaumont - in North Paris
Jardin du Palais Royal
Ile Sount-Louis
Or many others

Now what to eat? Choose as the Parisians do. Go to the corner boulangerie for bread, the fromagerie for cheese, the traiteur for quiches, terrine and salads, and the patisserie for desserts.

And don't forget the marchand de vin for a lovely bottle of wine.

If you don't want to make that many stops, the local supermarket should have all you need for a wonderful picnic lunch.
