Paris with Kids can be a great family vacation. Check out some of our ideas on how to make it a great fun time with your family.

When most people think of travelling to this beautiful city, they don't think of taking the kids. In fact, when Montana (our daughter) was young it never crossed our mind to take her to France, let alone Paris. It's a romantic destination, not a family one.

This isn't necessarily true if you plan your trip with your kids in mind. It is a very kid friendly city, as long as they are behaved. The secret is to plan educational activities, and play time too. So if you are spending time in museums, counteract it with energy burn off time in one of the many beautiful parks.

Some ideas that we haven't mentioned in our Travel Guide article include:

• Disneyland - you can take the train out for the day or choose to stay out there
• Visit the Cite des Enfants, the Childrens Museum
• Take them to the Menagerie at teh Jardin des Plantes (otherwise known as the zoo)
• In the summer, enjoy the Paris Plage, a beach created along the Seine, including beach chairs and ice cream stands
• Take a hop on hop off bus tour
• Climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe
• Check out the kids program at the Eiffel Tower
• Enjoy the fireworks over the Seine on Bastille Day

Paris with Kids can be a lot of fun, however you must have a plan and ideas on how to make it great for the whole family.
